What to do when items won't add to cart
Our shopping cart uses one of two methods to recognize you when you are adding items to the shopping cart. It first tries to use a "cookie" to pass information identifying your cart between your computer and the shopping cart server. If that doesn't work, it will try to use the IP address of your computer to recognize you. Unfortunately there are times when neither method works. In this case each time you add an item to the shopping cart, it gets added to an empty cart, so you never see more than one item in your cart.
The simplest way to fix the problem is to configure your browser to allow cookies from www.cart32hosting.com, which is our shopping cart server. Instructions for allowing cookies are given below for AOL 9.0, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape 6.x, and Netscape 7.x. If you need help figuring out how to do this from another web browser please contact our webmaster.
If allowing cookies in your browser does not fix the problem, please contact our webmaster.
Enabling Cookies in AOL 9.0
- Click the Settings button on the toolbar
- On the Essentials tab of the Settings window, click the "Internet [Web] Options" link
- On the Internet Options dialog, select the Privacy tab
- You will probably see a slider that lets you select the privacy setting for Internet pages. If it is set to "Block All Cookies", you will need to set it to a lower level before continuing.
- At the bottom of the Privacy tab is a "Web Sites" section. Click the Edit button to override cookie handling for our shopping cart.
- In the "Address of Web site" edit box, enter www.cart32hosting.com, then click the Allow button.
- Click OK to close the "Per Site Privacy Actions" dialog box.
- Click OK to close the "Internet Options" dialog box.
If you use the Windows operating system and there is an Internet Explorer icon on your desktop, another way to get to the Internet Options dialog is to right-click on the Internet Explorer icon, then select Properties. Now continue from step 3 above. (This will work even if you are not connected to the Internet.)
This should fix the problem with the shopping cart. You may need to close the web browser window and open a new window for the changes to take effect.
