New Jenny Watson Books

Three pattern books by Jenny Watson are now in stock.

Noro Catwalk, Book 1 and Noro Collection, Book 3 each include 16 sweaters for women knit in a variety of Noro yarns.

Araucania Collection, Book 1 includes 16 sweaters and some matching accessories knit in a variety of Araucania yarns, including the newly arrived Toconao and Azapa. Toconao is a 100% merino wool yarn knit at 4.5 sts per inch. Azapa is a kettle dyed blend of 45% wool, 30% alpaca, 15% silk, and 10% donegal knit at 3.5 - 4 sts per inch.

New Elsebeth Lavold Books

Two new Elsebeth Lavold books have arrived, Book 15. The Out of the Blue Collection and Book 16. The Touch of Romance Collection. Images and yarn requirements are online for all designs.

Book 15. The Out of the Blue Collection includes designs for men, women, and children knit in Baby Llama and other Lavold yarns.

Book 16. The Touch of Romance Collection includes designs for men, women, children, and even the dog knit in Bambool and Calm Wool.

Bambool is a 80% bamboo, 20% merino wool yarn knit at 5 sts per inch.

Calm Wool is 40% wool, 30% camel, 30% alpaca and is knit at 4.5 sts per inch.

New Dale of Norway Book

A new Dale of Norway book has also arrived, Book 8501. Commemorative Collection. This book includes 5 sweaters for adults, originally designed for the Canadian alpine ski team. Images and yarn requirements are online for all the designs, which can be knit in Heilo or Falk.

Simply Shetland Book 5

Simply Shetland's 5th book, Roxana's Garden, is now in stock. It includes 16 designs knit in Jamieson Spindrift and Simply Shetland's Silk & Lambswool and Lambswool & Cashmere. Designs include tunics, vests, wraps, and jackets for women; a child's vest; and two men's sweaters.

Regia Kaffe Fassett Design Line Sock Yarn

A new Kaffe Fassett color line, Exotic, is now available in 4-ply sock yarn. I will include a free leaflet with charts for 6 sizes of socks with any purchase of Exotic colors, while supplies last.

I also have 3 colors each from his Mirage and Landscape color lines in 6-ply. Regia Magazine #112 features this yarn and includes sweaters, hats, gloves, scarves, and socks for men, women, and children. Images and yarn requirements are now online.

A few more new colors of 4-ply and 6-ply Regia are also in stock.

New Sock Yarn and Book

Noro's new Silk Garden Sock Yarn is now in stock. I have all 8 colors of this wool/silk/nylon/mohair blend that knits at 6.5 sts/in on a US #3 needle.

I also have Janel Laidman's The Eclectic Sole, a new book featuring 14 sock designs.

Knitting Drive for Flood/Tornado Victims in Iowa

Carol Anderson of Cottage Creations is collecting knitted items for victims of the recent flooding and tornados in Iowa. She is asking for mittens, caps, scarves, afghans, prayer shawls, baby blankets, dishcloths, socks, infants, children’s and adult sweaters to be delivered to her by November 1st.
